Fee Structure
Coggin A+D, LLC is a full-service collaborative architecture and design firm. The fee structure is typically divided into two phases – Design and Permitting. Due to the uncertainty of the work effort during the Design Phase, an hourly fee structure is best for both the client and for the architect. Once the Design Phase is complete, a fixed fee will be used for the Permitting Phase. This fee is generated from a work plan I create to estimate the effort to turn the design drawings into a permit set. At the end of this phase, I will provide a signed and sealed set of drawings for your use in pricing, permitting, and construction. I am licensed architect in the state of Florida. The contract sets the terms for payment, but the standard billing schedule is monthly. I estimate the total cost to be between $4,000 and $6,000 for small (+/- 500 SF) additions. Custom single-family residential design and permit plans start at $7,000. Additional Services such as 3D renderings, Interior Colors Boards, and Construction Administration Services are available at a standard hourly rate.
